A hell of a walkway to the outside toilet :-) Seriously, a great shot of the excesses of the Tsar. With your shots, I'm now starting to understand some of the motivation behind The Revolution. The contrast between the have and the have not's must have been so extreme.

@CElliottUK: It certainly was - there were over 400 royal palaces in St Petersburg at one time. It is not at all surprising that the city was the spring board for the revolution. The ship 'Aurora', which fired the shot signifying the start of the revolution, is still berthed in St. P and open to the public.
